With Michigan’s new auto insurance law in full effect, CPAN recommends consumers get a minimum of $250,000 per person/$500,000 per occurrence in auto liability coverage, plus an optional umbrella policy ($2 million is recommended) to provide additional liability coverage beyond that amount.
