Matthew Madden, Esquire has nearly 20 years experience with commercial real estate and real estate development and has made hundreds of appearances before local planning and zoning boards. Here he is advocating for a client in Haddon Township.

Reunion Hall, the proposed bar/restaurant at 208 Haddon Ave. in passed yet another legal examination and appears to have all township clearences to start moving towards opening. The latest hiccup involved the courts remanding the case back to the Township planning board to interpret the use of leased parking spaces under the zoning code and parking ordinances, and new information on the ownership of 212 Haddon Ave. where parking is leased for Reunion Hall. Partner Regina M. Philipps, Esquire recently was named The College of New Jersey's Alum of the Week.

Our alum of the week is Regina Philipps '07. Regina is the first female partner of the law firm Madden & Madden. In 2015 she was named to the "40 Under 40" list published by SNJ Business People Magazine and in 2020 she was named to the "Super Woman" list published by South Jersey Magazine. Regina has a 3-year-old son, Shane, who was born with a rare genetic neuromuscular disease, Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Regina advocated for the passage of a bill that ultimately became law in January 2020, requiring SMA to be added to New Jersey’s newborn screening panel. Regina truly is a star alumna!

Madden & Madden Partner Timothy R. Bieg, Esquire graduated from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania in 2001. Tim was a four year-starter on the Lafayette Leopards' men's basketball team after graduating from Camden Catholic High School as the Irish's all-time leading scorer. The 1998-99 and 1999-00 Lafayette men's basketball teams brought national attention to Lafayette athletics, capturing consecutive Patriot League titles while earning NCAA Tournament berths. Philipps successfully obtained summary judgment on behalf of the Egg Harbor Township Board of Education and its Vice Principal (the "Board Defendants") pursuant to a lengthy opinion issued on December 26, 2017 by The Honorable Jerome B. Simandle, United States District Judge for the District of New Jersey. In Paredes v. EHT Bd. of Educ., the minor plaintiff, a student in the EHT School District (the "District"), brought suit against the Board Defendants and other EHT Police Officer defendants asserting various constitutional and common law tort claims arising out of plaintiff's suspension for theft after plaintiff was found in possession of a fellow student's stolen iPhone.
