Beyond thrilled returning to 20 years after graduation, to receive Distinguished Service Award, and deliver Black History Month Keynote to next generation of leaders.

It was especially heartwarming sharing this moment with my daughter and son as we reflect on the legacy of our ancestors and resilience of Black community.

My keynote, "Royals from the Diaspora - Descendants of Kings and Queens, Warriors and Scholars," explored the rich history of Black ancestors who have shaped our past and continue to inspire us today.

Congrats BLSA President and VP and eboard Robert Chappell, Jr., Nicholas Anyaegbunam, Taylor Fowlks, Amie Mybe, and Dachie Belony - all supported by university Dean, Craig M. Boise.

Jason is a phenomenal attorney, public servant, and mentor - who encouraged creation of “Law Offices of Roosevelt Jean” years before I thought it was possible. Mentors need mentors too.

Honored by New Jersey State Bar Association / New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE) invitation to teach the 2022 Certified Civil Trial Exam Prep Workshop - “Tips for Case Selection Through Filing Suit” on Saturday, September 10, 2022.

I was a student in this class in 2010, when I was first designated by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Certified Civil Trial attorney - who must possess among other things - “an unblemished reputation by submitting a list of attorneys and judges who will attest to the applicant's character and ability.”

My panelists included Hon. Mary F. Thurber, J.S.C. Bergen County Superior Court Judge; Certified Civil Trial attorneys Lauren Strollo and Robert Gallop, and Marc Garfinkle.

In 2022, I am honored to be recognized by Thomson Reuters’ New Jersey , a peer-nominated list of lawyers who have attained a high degree of recognition and professional achievement and who exemplify excellence in the practice of law. 

We are most proud of our consistent successful settlements and resolutions – which have yielded positive life-altering changes for injury victims.
