The company announced total annual real estate sales of $7.6 billion, with a total of 16,382 units sold. The mortgage division also reported gains, with over $840M in loan production for 2013 alone. With the start of 2014, William Raveis is also celebrating the 40th

Anniversary of the company. In 1974, William Raveis, chairman and chief executive officer of William Raveis Real Estate, started the company as Yankee Real Estate in an office above a grocery store in Fairfield, Conn. Since that time, the company has grown to include 3,000 sales professionals in over 95 company-owned and affiliate offices in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Maine.

At the end of 2013, William Raveis Real Estate announced plans to relocate their corporate headquarters to support growth, expanding in to the 44,000-square-foot space of 2 Research Drive—which includes 39,000-square feet of office space and a 5,000-square-foot interior garden. The company’s current headquarters, at 7 Trap Falls Road, is 22,000-square-feet, marking a 100% increase in size. This year, through the William Raveis Charitable Fund, Inc., the company also continued their fervent support of charitable causes. William Raveis Breast Cancer Fund[1] raised over $270,000 in 2013, bringing their lifetime total to more than $1.6 million to support the William Raveis-ASC Patient Navigator Program at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, Conn., the Patient Navigator Program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Mass., the Hope Lodge in Boston, Mass. and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in Sleepy Hollow, New York. also paid special attention to the Sandy Hook Elementary Educational Fund.
