Happy 42nd Anniversary to us! Wow, I thought the 40th came quickly. Two blinks later, we have yet another opportunity to be grateful and celebrate a successful agency career! Fire Prevention week starts Sunday, October 6 and runs through Saturday, October 12! Look for special presentations at your local fire departments and in schools! Last weekend our Pierce Middle School competed in the Grosse Pointe Sunrise Rotary Run! Wow, what a great event raising funds for the Rotary's important work! I'm proud to say of the top 10 girls and top 10 boys, our girls took 1,2,3, and 10! Way to go Emma, Eleanor, LTR, and Monroe! The dudes devastated the field taking 1,2,3,4,5, and 10! Flying across the line were Oscar, Wesley, Jack, Jordan, Brendan, and Oliver! So many great performances all through the pack as well! As usual, our times are dropping as we get in better racing condition! Gonna be another great season!

Time again to congratulate our EMA amazing student athlete, Conrad Squitieri, for taking 9th of 62, 17 to 18 year old, discus throwers at the AAU National Junior Olympics. Just one week after taking 18th in the USATF National Junior Olympics, Connie and his parents Jan Squitieri and Conrad Squitieri made the trip Greensboro to cap the season! Connie is a complete student athlete who keeps his life in balance, works hard every day at academics and athletics, and truly appreciates all the good in his life! In every facet, he is one of the tops in the nation! Congrats, Connie! We are so very proud!

I have a fantastic agency team! A recent thank you card from a long time policyholder made me so proud. A big and complicated commercial claim was challenging everyone. My team kept on it, smoothed out the rough spots, and removed the pain points. As the customer said, "Though it took a long time, our property looks like new again because you and your team helped every step of the way!" Now, that's the way to start the year! Today I celebrate 41 years as a State Farm Agent! I am grateful for this opportunity and the prosperity it provided (with a little help from me!) for my family and my community! It seems appropriate to pass on a little wisdom shared with me. These thoughts help me keep moving forward: 1. Be grateful for all you have! 2. Help others every chance you get. 3. Clean up whatever needs to be cleaned up. 4. Let yourself want what you really want, and only what's good for you. Thanks to my family and friends for your support. Thanks to my community of clients for your loyalty. I am truly blessed and hope to continue with energy and enthusiasm! Amen!
