We are proud of our very own Adam Kirk - now serving as Justice Court Judge - District Two. Congratulations Adam! We are proud of you!
Meet Judge R. Adam Kirk. The Grenada County Board of Supervisors appointed Judge Kirk yesterday to the Justice Court District Two seat vacated by the late Judge Jimmy Tallant. Tallant passed away on January 5th.
After his appointment, Judge Kirk was sworn in by Chancery Court Clerk Johnny Hayward. A special election will be held in November to fill the remainder of the term. Kirk informed the Board of Supervisors that he does not plan to run for the position in the election.
Adam was raised in Duck Hill by his parents, Roger and Sheila Kirk. He currently resides in Grenada with his wife, Amy Minga Kirk, and their five beautiful children – Emma, Caroline, Ava, Mary Alden, and Drew. Adam clerked with the District Attorney’s Office for the Fifth Circuit Court of Mississippi during law school. He was admitted to practice law in Mississippi in 2003, and obtained a law license from Tennessee in 2004. Adam worked for Gore Kilpatrick & Dambrino, PLLC from 2003 – 2016 before founding Daly Kirk, PLLC with lifelong friend P. Vance Daly. He also served as the assistant County Prosecutor for Grenada County under Jay Gore, III for 11 years, and was later elected as Grenada County Prosecutor in 2015.
Per Mississippi law, Supervisors make appointments to fill Justice Court vacancies until an election is held.
We welcome Judge Kirk to our office and look forward to working with him.
