Happy 18th Birthday, my Avery Rae🤍🪻

18 years ago today, at 11:19 a.m., after one push, you came into this world and completely changed my life.

I honestly don’t know how we’re here already. It feels like just yesterday I was rocking you to sleep, doing your hair for school, cheering you on at swim meets and watching you grow into the amazing young woman you are today.

You have the kindest heart, the sweetest spirit, and a quiet confidence that makes me so proud to be your mom. You make people feel loved, and that’s one of the things I admire most about you.

This birthday is a big one. Not just because you’re 18, but because in a few short weeks you’ll be leaving for Pepperdine to start a whole new chapter. I couldn’t be more excited for you… but if I’m being honest, my heart isn’t quite ready to let you go.

Watching you become the person you are today has been the greatest gift. If I could freeze time and keep you around just a little longer, I would.

My prayer for you is simple. Stay close to God. Be yourself. Work hard. Be kind to everyone you meet. Laugh often. Call me everyday and never forget how loved you are.
