Greetings, All. As you all know, I do not post very often. As part of the Post is also a press release providing a brief overview of the incident with the video.
PRESS RELEASE RE: TASHA COHEN POLICE ABUSE INCIDENT
On September 5, 2025, Mrs. Cohen called the police for assistance during her husband’s mental health episode. What started as a plea for help ended in an attack on her by government officials that left her physically, mentally, and emotionally scarred. Officers and agents of Adams County, Colorado, and Bennett Fire Protection District No. 7 dba Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue answered Mrs. Cohen’s call for help. But instead of assisting her, a stage 4 cancer patient, they attacked her. The officers threw her to the ground, exposed her private parts to the public, crushed her back and neck, and forcibly injected drugs into her right arm, an area of her body where she was not supposed to receive injections due to her cancer treatments.
The video accompanying this letter captures the cruel, unusual, and unfathomable events described above. It begins with Mrs. Cohen’s sister speaking with the supervising officer at the scene. She requests that her sister be released from police custody after she was unlawfully detained for trying to protect her husband. When Mrs. Cohen’s sister asks why Mrs. Cohen was put into the back of a police SUV, the officer nonchalantly replies, “You tell me.” This callous statement subverts the precept of probable cause, and indeed, Mrs. Cohen was never arrested or charged with a crime.
Shortly thereafter, Mrs. Cohen can be heard on the video screaming. Due to the stress of the situation, she fell into a non-epileptic seizure, a severe symptom of her Functional Neurological Disorder. The video shows. The video captures a picture of an officer jamming his knee directly onto her back positioned at the base of her neck. She was unable to breathe because her face was forced into the gravel by the officer’s weight, and she sustained tremendous pain to her neck, back, and spine.
During the seizure incident, Mrs. Cohen was rolled back and forth several yards away from the patrol SUV through gravel, dirt, rocks, and w**ds. As a result, she was covered in mud, soil, bugs, w**ds, and other sediments. In addition, Mrs. Cohen was wearing a casual dress with no underwear, and as she was being restrained, her ge****ls were exposed. Instead of providing her with even a minimal amount of dignity, multiple individuals pinned her down, and at one point, a female technician laid her whole body across her chest. In fact, they injected Mrs. Cohen in her right arm, which she medically should not have received as a result of her cancer
treatments. However, the emergency personnel did not listen, and they forced the drug into her system, which caused a reaction.
The egregiousness of the incident does not end there, unfortunately. After her episode, Mrs. Cohen was strapped to a gurney and placed in an ambulance against her will. She then overheard the medical personnel making jokes that she was faking her seizure. The officers’ actions did not merely harm her; they recklessly upended her medical stability and unraveled her body’s fragile equilibrium, sending it into irreversible collapse.
We are providing this video with the hope of bringing this horrific event to the public’s attention and demand accountability for what happened to Mrs. Cohen. The censored video we are providing is a video clip from a full video that was taken on the evening of September 5, 2025.
