Happy "Lawyer Birthday" to Melissa Freeman, who was sworn in to practice on this day in 2015! In her seven years in practice, Melissa has focused on helping the people that she serves, from winning not guilty verdicts at trial, earning dismissals, preventing charges from being filed, to negotiating favorable resolutions. She is a talented advocate, brilliant writer, and a compassionate human being. We're so grateful to work with her, and her clients are grateful to have her on their side!

Our own Keeley Blanchard was named by Crain’s Detroit Business as a Notable Woman in Law for 2021! The honorees were selected based on career accomplishments, track record of success in their field, and mentorship of others.

Crain’s says that “in the boardroom and the courtroom, Crain’s Notable Women in Law are seeking justice, setting precedent, and managing high profile cases... they are mentors, champions, and beacons of their community.”

Our firm had the honor today of awarding the Blanchard Law Legal Scholarship to University of Houston student Sondos Moursy. Sondos is a psychology major who hopes to go on to law school and become a human rights lawyer. She wrote a moving essay about her volunteer work, and is already changing the world for the better. Congratulations, Sondos!

Blanchard Law is looking for individuals to act as mock jurors for legal training programs on various days throughout the month of September from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Participants can only take part in one of the sessions. These programs will take place via Zoom; therefore, you will need a place with strong internet signal and no interruptions to participate. Blanchard Law is looking for individuals to act as mock jurors for a legal training program September 3, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Participants can only take part in one of the sessions. This program will take place via Zoom; therefore, you will need a place with strong Wi-Fi signal and no interruptions to participate. Participants must have access to both audio and video during the training. Each participant will be paid $100.00.
