In May, Eric Philpot, Jr. (“Ric”), son of Eric Philpot and Lorri Philpot, graduated Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law. Earning Dean’s List honors every semester and receiving a CALI Excellence for the Future Award, Ric enjoyed a succesful career in law school, where he served as an Editor for the South Carolina Law Review and established meaningful relationships with attorneys at a well-respected regional law firm during the summers. After taking the Bar Exam in July, Ric will serve for a year in Charleston, SC, as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Jennifer B. McCoy of the 9th Judicial Circuit for the August 2026-2027 term. The Philpot family is proud of Ric’s hard work and looks forward to watching him blossom into a successful young attorney.
