1,029 lived-in homes in Greenville came off the market and never sold.

That’s the part most people don’t expect. And the bigger surprise is that these homes were not the highest-priced ones. Their typical first asking price was $354,900. The homes that did sell started at $379,145.

So a lower list price did not save them. Usually it meant the price did not match the condition, timing, or what buyers felt once they walked in. Right now, 60.8% of homes for sale in Greenville have already cut their price, which tells you a lot about where sellers are having to adjust.
