Today I was able to negoiate a custody agreement between parents who have been battling in court over their child since 2012. Yay for them and yay for me! And ULTRA-YAY for the child!

The Greensboro Bar Association is proud to honor Abigail Seymour for outstanding pro bono service!

In 1996, the GBA established the Pro Bono Award given annually to a member of our Bar Association in recognition of that individual’s outstanding service.

There is a critical need for legal services among persons of limited means and lawyers should feel encouraged to provide the pro bono legal services called for by Rule 6.1 of our State Bar.

Abigail was recommended by Catherine Johnson, executive director of the Family Justice Center in Guilford County who informed us that:

Same-s*x marriage was once a deeply divisive issue. Now, polls show over 70% of Americans support same-s*x marriage, and Congress is set to move forward with the Respect for Marriage Act.
