1. Who or what inspires you in your career and why?
My career is deeply personal to me. After leaving a ten-year abusive marriage, I found myself navigating the legal system as a mother fighting to protect my children. I had to retain an attorney, seek emergency custody, navigate custody proceedings and divorce, and experience many of the same fears and uncertainties our clients face.
During that time, my mother, Attorney Wendy Hudson, gave me an opportunity that changed the direction of my life. I began working in her office as a legal assistant and discovered a passion for the legal field. I have now been in the legal field for almost five years, spending one year as a legal assistant and nearly four years as a paralegal.
Having once been the scared mother sitting on the other side of the desk gives me a unique connection with our clients. I understand how overwhelming family court can feel, and that experience continues to inspire the work I do every day.
2. What is your favorite thing about your job?
Helping people. I have a big heart, and I genuinely love being there for others when they need someone most. In family law, there are real people, children, and families behind every case.
Because I have personally experienced the family court system, I understand how overwhelming it can be. Being able to answer questions, provide support, and help clients through some of the hardest moments of their lives is what makes my job so meaningful to me.
3. What is a secret talent you have?
Singing! Music has always been a big part of my life. I am a singer and also spent many years participating in pageants.
4. If you could have one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Mexican food, without question! If I had to choose one favorite, it would be ceviche. I could happily eat it for the rest of my life.
