Hit by a driver who swerved to avoid a deer? Most people do not know that swerve may be the reason you have a case.

North Carolina drivers hit an animal 63,487 times between 2022 and 2024. Almost a quarter of those crashes happened in one month: November. It starts in two weeks.

Here is the part that catches people off guard. If you hit a deer on your own, there is usually no one to hold responsible. You cannot sue a deer. Your recovery comes from two optional coverages, comprehensive for the vehicle and medical payments coverage for your medical bills.

But when another driver swerves into oncoming traffic or overcorrects across the road and hits you, the law asks a different question: did that driver react reasonably? If the answer is no, you may have a claim.

A major Charlotte-area medical center. A routine ultrasound. And a report that a male patient was sexually assaulted by the technician performing the exam.

Lanier Law Group is investigating this report. Police are also involved.

The case is being called the Gyrating Johnson lawsuit and the woman claims to have been thrown off of the giant moving p***s when her foot became trapped beneath it.

That recorded statement the adjuster wants? It is a trap.

After a crash, insurance adjusters will ask you to give a recorded interview. It sounds routine. It is not. This is exactly where they try to trip you up and get you to say something that makes it look like you contributed to the accident.

And here is the part that should make you angry. It does not matter if the other driver ran the stop sign, blew the light, was sp*eding, or rear-ended you. If they can find a way to pin just 1% of the blame on you, they will deny your claim.
