Public Announcement: New Position and Firm Transition
Dear friends, colleagues, and valued clients,
I’m writing to share a significant update about my professional path. After much reflection, I’ve accepted an exciting new position that allows me to continue growing, learning, and making a positive impact in a new environment. I began employment with the Tennessee Attorney Generals Conference as Assistant District Attorney General Pro Tem for Northeast Tennessee yesterday.
As a result of this new opportunity, the business of the Firm will transition to new ownership or wind down in an orderly and ethical manner. Criminal Defense and Civil matters will be handled differently. Criminal Defense matters have been completed, withdrawn, or substitute counsel entered. I can continue working on Civil cases for up to six months. Civil cases will be completed or financial arrangements with new counsel will be made to avoid any delay or unnecessary burden on clients. Clients represented in Civil cases will be contacted soon if they haven’t been already.
Berkeley Bell will continue handling his cases from our office while we wind down our business. If you need to reach him for a pending or new case, you may reach him here at the office.
I want to thank everyone who has supported our business over the years—colleagues, other legal professionals, and clients. Your trust and collaboration have been invaluable, helping us grow from an extra bedroom in our home to one of the most visible and respected law firms in East Tennessee. I’m grateful for the relationships and experiences we’ve built together.
If you have outstanding business matters and want to reach us before we contact you, please call any team member at (423) 638-7000. We’ll maintain a list of all outstanding matters, and any team member can help you as we carry out the necessary steps for your case.
Thanks for being part of this incredible journey.
Best wishes,
