This Memorial Day, Collins Shelton Blair & Wright honors the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice secured the freedoms we enjoy every day, and we remain profoundly grateful for their courage, duty, and selflessness.

We also recognize and thank all veterans and active-duty service members who continue to serve with honor.

This day carries special meaning for our firm as we proudly recognize our law partner, Tom Wright, whose family has answered the call to serve. Tom’s son, Captain Rob Wright, served as a helicopter pilot in the United States Army, and his son-in-law, Sergeant First John Junio, also served in the U.S. Army. We are deeply appreciative of their commitment, sacrifice, and dedication to our nation.

Today, we remember those who never made it home and honor the families who carry their legacy forward.

After a hard-fought jury trial, the verdict came back Not Guilty on the leading charge of attempted second-degree murder. We are incredibly proud of Hunter and Kristen for their work in this case, and proud of our entire CSBW team, as it’s truly a group effort.

When everything is on the line, preparation and precision matter. The burden of proof still stands, and the presumption of innocence remains the foundation of our justice system.

We are thankful for the professionalism of the District Attorney’s Office, the court staff in Hawkins County Criminal Court, and the law enforcement professionals involved.
