Recovery works!

Today, we celebrate 8 incredible people who chose to keep going, to do the hard work, and to believe that their story could be different.

Recovery Court graduation is about so much more than completing a program. It’s about second chances, rebuilding lives, restoring families, and finding hope again.

We are so proud of each one of you. Today is a big day, but it’s really just the beginning. Keep going. Keep choosing recovery. Keep choosing you. 🫶🏼

Congratulations, graduates!

Please consider this a public service announcement.

On Tuesday July 28, the Greeneville Police Department is hosting a community engagement meeting at 5:30 pm in the G. Thomas Love Board Room at Greeneville Energy Authority. The topic - e-bikes.

Unfortunately, I cannot attend as I will be in a meeting with Judges discussing the Northeast Tennessee Regional Recover Center.

Since I can't be two places at once I wanted to provide some information for those interested in attending the e-bike discussion. I would encourage you to Google the following statutes that govern the use of electric bicycles in Tennessee. Especially parents of e-bike riders. The statutes are:

Tennessee Code Annotated § 55–8–301, § 55–8–302, § 55–8–303, § 55–8–304, § 55–8–305, § 55–8–306, and § 55–8–307. They are pretty self explanatory compared to some other statutes.

More information on bicycle laws in Tennessee see:
https://www.tn.gov/tdot/local-programs-community-investments/community-investments-office/bicycle-and-pedestrian-program/resources11/tennesse-bicycle-laws.html

Be engaged. Familiarize yourself with the applicable law and be apart of the solution. Our kids and community deserve our engagement.

Thank you Chief Pierce and the Greeneville Police Department for creating a space for this discussion.

BTW, this is not legal advice, it is strictly informational.

Huge crowd at the Lincoln Day Dinner in Hawkins County. Happy to see former Congressman Bill Jenkins being honored.

I cherished every handshake, ever smile, and every conversation had with so many friends. So thankful to have my wife Cari, and Hawkins County girl, with me for such a wonderful event.

Great time at the Hamblen County Republican Women’s Lincoln Day dinner.
