Another happy bankruptcy client. 💛

More than $50,000 in debt — DISCHARGED.

But this message is the part that matters most to me:

“You really made this process super easy and calmed my nerves and shame soooo much.”

Bankruptcy carries enough stress. Shame doesn’t have to be part of the process.

If debt has been weighing on you, this weekend could be the weekend you finally do something about it.

⚖️ I’m filing bankruptcy cases ALL WEEKEND

Protecting your home while getting relief from overwhelming debt?

Bankruptcy does not automatically mean losing your house. Depending on your equity, mortgage status, and the chapter you file, bankruptcy may provide a path to protect your home, stop foreclosure, and catch up on missed payments.

The key is getting advice before waiting until the last minute.

Debt may be part of your story — but it does not get to define you. ☁️💗

Sometimes the fresh start isn’t making more money, working harder, or trying to keep up.

Sometimes the fresh start is deciding you’re done carrying debt that no longer serves the life you’re building.

Bankruptcy isn’t the end of your story.

It can be the beginning of a quieter, lighter, more intentional chapter. ✨

Fresh starts are kinda chic. 💕

I used to think most debt had a pretty obvious explanation.

Overspending. Credit cards. Shopping. Living beyond your means. Poor money management.

Then I started representing people whose stories looked nothing like that.

They weren’t drowning in debt because they were living lavishly.

They were drowning because everyone depended on them.

They were paying the rent.

Buying the groceries.

Helping with tuition.

Covering medical expenses.

Taking care of children, parents, siblings, and sometimes entire households.

Their paycheck would hit the account already spoken for.

And when the money wasn’t enough?

They used a credit card.

Took out a loan.

Put off one bill to pay another.

Worked more.

Borrowed more.

And kept telling themselves they’d catch up eventually.

That’s when I realized:

Sometimes debt isn’t the result of being financially irresponsible.

Sometimes debt is the result of being financially responsible for too many people.

We praise breadwinners for being strong.

“You always figure it out.”

“Everybody can depend on you.”

“I don’t know what we’d do without you.”

But rarely does anyone stop and ask:

Who is taking care of the person taking care of everyone else?

Because eventually, being everyone’s safety net can leave you without one of your own.

If that’s you, hear me clearly:

You are allowed to have boundaries.

You are allowed to say, “I can’t afford to do that right now.”

You are allowed to save money while someone you love has a financial problem.

You are allowed to build an emergency fund.

You are allowed to plan for retirement.

You are allowed to build a future that belongs to you, too.

Supporting the people you love should not require your own financial destruction.

Because sometimes debt doesn’t come from spending too much.

Sometimes it comes from carrying too much.

And if you’ve been carrying everyone else for years, maybe it’s time to make sure there’s something left for you, too.

Will Your Job Find Out You Filed Bankruptcy?

One of the biggest fears I hear from professionals is:

“What if my employer finds out?”

Here’s what you need to know: filing bankruptcy does not automatically mean your employer will be notified, and federal law provides important protections against employment discrimination because of bankruptcy.

Yes, bankruptcy is a public record—but that doesn’t mean your coworkers, boss, or HR department are automatically alerted.

If you're a federal employee, healthcare professional, executive, or work in a role involving security clearance, there may be additional considerations. That’s why getting advice specific to your situation matters.

Don’t let fear and stigma keep you trapped in debt longer than necessary.

Your financial situation is a problem to solve—not something to be ashamed of.

Peace looks different when you’re no longer carrying the weight of debt. 🌴✨

Bankruptcy isn’t about failure. Sometimes it’s about deciding you’re done surviving every paycheck, dodging collection calls, and losing sleep over bills you simply can’t keep up with.

A fresh start can mean peace, options, and room to rebuild.

You don’t have to stay financially stuck just because you’ve been there for a while.

Six-figure income. Maxed-out credit cards. Zero breathing room. Now what? 💳

You make too much for most hardship programs—but not enough to keep absorbing thousands in minimum payments and interest every month.

That’s the high-income debt trap.

High income does not automatically disqualify you from bankruptcy. Chapter 13 may allow you to:

• Restructure qualifying debt into a manageable repayment plan
• Stop collection activity
• Protect your assets
• Reduce or stop interest on certain debts
• Regain control of your monthly cash flow

Chapter 13 was specifically designed for people with regular income who need a structured path out of overwhelming debt.

Your salary may look great on paper—but your actual numbers tell the full story.
