We recently finished up a termination of parental rights and adoption case, where one of the parents had been doing all of the work for many years. The other parent had no real interest in parenting, and our client had moved on and married somebody who was willing to be fill that role. After quite a bit of time, we managed to terminate the parental rights of the deadbeat parent, and see this wonderful spouse take over the parental duties. Tears of joy and relief were shed by everybody, including the judge (and I can either confirm nor deny the moisture level in my eyes).

This is why we exist, this is why we do what we do.
