At Faure Holden Henkel Terrazas, P.C., we recently read Shoe Dog by Phil Knight, and Legends and Soles by Sonny Vaccaro. They were great (but not as great as Greenlights – but that is for another post). Anyway, the books got us to thinking about how Nike’s original philosophy hits home. Great legal work demands the same discipline. Stay adaptable. Stay aggressive. Stay committed to the result.
In our practice, change isn’t a disruption. Facts shift, strategies evolve, and we move with purpose. We stay on offense through preparation, clarity, and disciplined case building from the start. We are always seeking the truth.
We know the law is both battle and business. It requires grit, realism, and the willingness to push harder, to question assumptions, verify details, and stretch what’s possible for our clients. We never assume anything.
We avoid the dangers that slow teams down: bureaucracy, distractions, and anything that drains energy instead of fueling it. Our focus stays on what matters most.
Above all, we finish what we start. When we do the right things with integrity, precision, and relentless advocacy strong outcomes follow.
This is the philosophy behind every client, every matter, every courtroom.
And we live off the land here in Montana every day. Practicing law in Montana is unique. You can’t burn judges, their staff or opposing counsel. You are going to see them on another case tomorrow, so your credibility matters, and that is a Montana value that we hold close.
