Dog bites happen.

First, insurance companies collect information to try to show that the dog did not have vicious propensities — that it's a one-time event.

The second thing they do is try to indicate that somehow it's your fault.
⬇️
The third thing is they say that the dog owner did everything reasonable to keep the dog in, to restrain the dog, had it on a leash, etc.
