BCJ has been awarded a $12,000 grant to assist Pittsfield residents who are low income and need legal representation in landlord-tenant problems. As required by the grant, potential clients must be able to provide two forms of identification, including proof of residency status. We are accepting intakes now. Please call 413-854-1955 to complete an intake. We are grateful for this opportunity to serve our community.

Last week, BCJ successfully negotiated with a rehabilitation agency on behalf of a client, securing a critical work order the client needed. This outcome was especially significant, as it marked the first time in the agency’s history that an exception of this kind had ever been granted.

A client just left BCJ's office. We settled 3 matters in minutes. The anxiety that an elderly low income individual experiences not knowing what to do, and the resulting relief for all matters to be resolved on a pro bono basis is palpable!

A new scam posing as the RMV's final ask to pay an old ticket or loss of license, etc. will be the consequence. The persuasive part is the mass.gov link. Is the Commonwealth aware that scammers are posing as the Commonwealth?

Be wary of unsolicited calls allegedly from Medicare that your account has been flagged. Don't give them any information and call Medicare directly to confirm whether there is any truth to the call.
