Another happy closing! 🏡🔑

From beginning to end, this home-buying process was about as seamless as they come, and we love when everything falls into place like that! Shoutout to Laura Prince Kelso for being so wonderful to work with.

This one was also extra fun for Kaylee, who had the opportunity to work with some of her brother’s good friends and get to know them even better throughout the process.

One of our favorite parts of real estate will always be the connections we get to make along the way, whether through family, friends, referrals, or people we’re meeting for the very first time.

Our team had the opportunity to spend some time volunteering at Grace’s Table this week, preparing a meal and learning more about the incredible work they’re doing in our Grand Rapids community.

Grace’s Table is a local nonprofit that walks alongside teen mamas, helping move them from isolation to connection through community, resources and support. What started in 2014 with just one mama showing up to the very first support group has grown into an organization that now connects with more than 300 mamas and their children each year through seven weekly programs, community outreach and a residential program.

And their impact reaches into so many parts of everyday life. From meals, childcare and transportation support to counseling, diapers and hygiene essentials, education and career resources, family advocacy and housing, Grace’s Table is creating a community where young moms and their children have people in their corner. They now serve more than 500 meals every month!

We loved getting a small glimpse into how much Grace’s Table has grown and, more importantly, the impact they continue to make for families throughout West Michigan.

Some real estate stories are a little more special than others, and this one was about 10 months in the making.

Last fall, Lyndsey’s past clients, Kenyon and Amanda, found a home in Saranac that checked nearly every box on their “dream house” list. The only problem? It sold before they even had a chance to see it. At the time, they weren’t quite ready to move anyway, so as disappointing as it was, we chalked it up to the timing just not being right.

Fast forward to about a month ago and the SAME house came back on the market.

Within two hours, Lyndsey had a showing scheduled, connected them with an awesome lender (shoutout Julie Bacon!), and helped them put together a strong offer that was accepted.

Getting to closing was a journey of its own…inspections, negotiations, financing, underwriting, and simultaneously selling the home Kenyon and Amanda had poured so much into over the last 2½ years. And somewhere in the middle of it all, Lyndsey even managed to negotiate Muffin the pony into the sale. 😂 A first for her!

Throughout the process, Kenyon kept telling Lyndsey, “All I keep thinking about is that apple pie you’re going to bring us this year and being able to enjoy it sitting outside at our dream house.”

Yesterday, they officially closed on BOTH homes.

Looking back at how it all came together, it’s hard not to think about God’s timing. Sometimes the answer isn’t no, it’s just not yet.

Excellent work, Lyndsey Schirle, and a HUGE congratulations to Kenyon and Amanda on the sale of your home and purchase of your dream home. We hope you and the pups absolutely love it.

And Kenyon, we have a feeling that apple pie is going to taste extra sweet this year.
