Downtown Rockford, MI ✨

There’s just something magical about Downtown Rockford. From local shops and incredible restaurants to the beauty of the Rogue River Dam and the White Pine Trail running right through town, there’s always something to explore.

Here are a few of our favorite things about the Downtown Rockford area. The sights, sounds, and smells of summer at the annual "start of summer" celebration every second weekend of June. Fishing at the damn with my kids during the summer afternoon. Ice Cream at Rocky's on a warm evening. Christmas time is always magically lit with cheer, and Santa always comes to town the first weekend of December!

No matter the season there is always a reason to celebrate in Downtown Rockford!

Happy Monday! I was looking over market stats this morning to get a good gauge of the market heading into the remaining few months of the year.

Thoughts: We still lack enough inventory, or even good inventory, for us to truly say the market is shifting from a seller market to a buyer marker. I'll break down a seller vs. buyer market in a different post.
I remember attending a training back in 2015, and all the agents that went through the 2006-2008ish crash were saying the market was about to burst... Mind you the average first time home buyer was paying in the mid $100K to mid $200K range for a solid starter home.. Inflation sure has changed things.

The shift you are feeling in the market right now is not being caused by a surplus in housing inventory. The most likely cause for a slower market is seasonality (August - January is history slower than spring) and higher interest rates.

Outside of real estate, life has just been full of the moments that really matter. ❤️

The McMahon family welcomed their newest blessing, baby Libby, in June—bringing their crew up to seven kiddos! They were also inspired to run a Spartan Race this in July. The spirit of adventure lives strongly in their family. The Cooks have been living the dream on their Greenville homestead, taking care of animals and just enjoying a "slower" summer pace. The Rolf crew was living their best life at the ball diamond all summer! They had 3 kiddos playing baseball and Mila played softball for the first time and loved it! Cristine and her family got to step away and take in the beauty of the American West. Her family took in the beauty of the mountains, trees at Yosemite National park, and cutting through the mountain while White Water rafting.

At Pure Mitten Homes, we truly do our best to focus on God, Family, and business… in that order. While we’re passionate about helping families find the perfect place to call home, we’re just as passionate about making memories with the people we love.
