If you received a message from me the last few days, I was recently hacked. Facebook does not have any customer service, no resources, no meaningful way to recover your account.

To sum up what this took

-I had to send a letter threatening suit in North Dakota and California.
-I had my Twitter set up to tweet at and direct message Facebook twice an hour.
-my Instagram sent them a message twice an hour.
-I used the California Bar Association to contact their general counsel’s office every hour.
-I spoke with the governor’s office.
-I emailed their press office upwards of 100 times.

Over the course of this, I spoke with hackers, I spoke with account holders, I spoke with software engineers. Some people have waited a year for a response from Facebook. Many people follow the proper channels and have no recourse.

If you do not have it on. Turn your two factor authentication on. Use an Authenticator app (Google Authenticator is quite good).

This was my first hack on any platform in 13 years. I got a message from a friend that was very normal for that friend, got it while I was busy and with a client. Hacker got lucky and caught me with the perfect message at the perfect time.

Social media companies are not held to the same standard as other businesses. That is wrong. Look out for yourself, no one else is.

Today these two boys asked if they could wash my car while I did paperwork with their dad. Both gave me hugs when I left. They don’t know who I really am or what I’m doing there. I’m just a guy with earrings and long hair and I walk funny. (All kids ask) but they do know I help their dad and I fight for them. I never wanted to do family law. In fact I swore I would never do it. But it called and I came. Do it better or don’t do it at all. That’s what it’s about. Being unconventional comes with many sides. If you’re looking for someone who will focus on the important things in your life, not just winning, reach out and let’s start your future the right way.

PSA. If you are separated or divorced and you alternate claiming a child or children for income taxes. Make sure you ask your tax professional if you need a Form 8332. The IRS IS auditing individuals who don’t include it.

I’ve recently left 6 messages with opposing counsel, and gotten no call back. Imagine being a client. Call Roller Law, where there’s no gatekeeper. Make a call, get a call back. Any time. Every time.
