I am incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support, encouragement, and kind words I have received. It truly means more than I can put into words. I feel so deeply supported and genuinely loved by this community—thank you for standing with me.
Many of you have reached out asking about my background and experience, so I wanted to take a moment to share my credentials:
I have been practicing law since 2019, focusing on family law, criminal defense, and juvenile law. Throughout my career, I have represented individuals and families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives, working to ensure that every person is treated with fairness, dignity, and respect in the courtroom.
I currently serve as a contracted public defender in the Northeast Central, East Central, and Northeast Judicial Districts of North Dakota. I also serve as a public defender in the Dickinson and Grand Forks Municipal Courts, while representing privately retained clients in criminal, juvenile, and family law matters across North Dakota and Minnesota. To date, I have represented over 500 clients, gaining extensive courtroom experience across a wide range of cases.
I began my college education at just 16 years old. I earned my Business Administration degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead and my Mass Communications degree from California State University Northridge. I later went on to earn my Juris Doctorate from the University of North Dakota School of Law.
I have been honored to be recognized as a Top 40 Under 40 Criminal Defense Attorney and a Top 10 Under 40 Family Law Attorney.
My commitment to service extends beyond the courtroom. I have volunteered as a coach, mentoring young people and helping build confidence and accountability, and I have also opened my home through foster care—experiences that have shaped my understanding of the real-life challenges families face.
On a personal note, my husband and I have nine children, along with our dog, Frost, and our cat, Nala. My husband is a stay-at-home dad who retired from the University of North Dakota Police Department in July of 2025 after 23 years of service. He is also a proud veteran.
Thank you again for your continued support. It does not go unnoticed, and I am truly grateful for each and every one of you.
