‼️🚨 Real Estate Scam Alert 🚨‼️
We want the community to be aware of a real estate scam recently emerging in Orange County and surrounding areas.
Scammers are posing as property owners and attempting to sell homes or land through realtors. Using false documents and fake identification, they claim to be the rightful owner.
These individuals often:
-Try to sell quickly
-Say they are out of the area and cannot meet in person
-Provide fraudulent paperwork to support their scheme, including drivers licenses
Please use caution when buying or selling property. If something seems unusual or “too good to be true,” take the extra step to verify ownership and documents. Realtors and attorneys are encouraged to remain vigilant.
If you believe you may have been targeted by this type of scam, contact your local law enforcement or Orange County Sheriff’s Office immediately.
