These fabulous ladies are ready to celebrate the Fourth of July in true Golden Beauty style! The parade kicks off at 10:00 AM so come find us along the route, wave, cheer, and show these amazing women some love!

Each contestant has a professional headshot featured online. Supporters can vote by making a $1 donation per vote through our online giving platform. Vote as many times as you’d like! (Example: $10=10 votes!)

(20 contestant bags) We are looking for businesses, community members and supporters to help us create special contestant swag bags for the 20 incredible women participating in the Maine Golden Beauty Pageant!

These women are more than contestants. They are mothers, grandmothers, caregivers, professionals, survivors, mentors and inspiring women from our communities who bravely stepped outside their comfort zones to be celebrated and uplifted and support a great cause!

We hope each contestant will also feel supported, appreciated and reminded just how special they are. Swag bag donations are a wonderful way to show encouragement while also representing your business or organization in a meaningful and positive way.

We are seeking 20 identical items or gift certificates to include in contestant gift bags. Ideas could include:
• Self care items
• Gift cards
• Beauty products
• Handmade items
• Snacks or treats
• Jewelry or accessories
• Promotional items from local businesses
• Inspirational gifts

Maybe children would like to handmade cards? All ideas welcome!

This event is about respect, community, confidence, courage and celebrating women who deserve to shine. Thank you for helping us make this experience unforgettable for these amazing, brave, beautiful and inspiring women.

Kona Ice of York County is proud to sponsor a fundraiser for two tragic events that hit Maine last week. The fundraiser will be on Tuesday, May 19th from 3pm to 8pm at two Sanford locations.
The first location is in the area of 900 Main Street, by Partners Bank in downtown Sanford. The second location is in the parking lot of Lowes Home Improvement by Walmart, 1900 Main Street in Sanford.

We had 2 trucks free that evening, and with temperatures going into the 90’s on Tuesday in Maine, we decided instead of opening and selling, we would donate the trucks to help raise money for the families of Andrew Cross, the firefighter killed in the Searsmont fire and to the family of Maine Game Warden Joshua Tibbetts, who also died in the line of duty last week. Funds will also be sent to the Searsmont relief fund to help the many others badly burned and injured in the fire. They also lost 3 fire trucks in the fire, which these small communities rely on these firetrucks.

We will have a donation jar and 100% of all sales will go to these fundraisers. We take cash, credit card, e-pay or venmo The entire staff has volunteered their time at the event and it’s a small way for us to help during these tragedies.

So, please stop by, grab a delicious and refreshing Kona Ice on a very hot and humid day, and we will donate 100% of sales to help. Lets step up and help these communities as they deal with these tragedies.
