Dear Foster Caregivers,

I hope this letter finds you well and in good health. Thank you for your continued commitment to serve Arizona’s most vulnerable children through these trying times.

Now several weeks into the school year, the Department is receiving increased reports of abuse and neglect and as such the number of children requiring protection has increased. Over the past two weeks, the Department’s Welcome Centers have seen an increase in the number of youth in need of a loving, supportive family-like setting to meet their needs.

This morning there were 30 children and youth in need of foster caregivers who can support them. The Department needs assistance in locating homes for the following:

• Sibling group 5, 4 and 3 sibling sets of two
• Eleven homes for girls and boys ages 2 to 7
• Eight homes for girls and boys 8 to 12
• Eleven homes for male and female youth 13-17

If your home is available or currently on hold but you are willing to serve these youth please contact your licensing worker right away and let them know.

I truly appreciate everything you do to support vulnerable youth.
