Carole has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, a Master of Business Administration, and Doctor of Jurisprudence. Prior to practicing law, she worked for several years as a semiconductor engineer for Advanced Micro Devices. ool, Carole served as a Briefing Attorney for Judge Cathy Cochran with the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, the state’s highest criminal court. She then served for four years as an Assistant Attorney General, where she successfully briefed and argued several cases before the U.S. She also defended numerous criminal convictions in federal and state court, including the 1995 conviction of Yolanda Saldivar for the infamous murder of Latina superstar, Selena. In 2011, Carole opened Carole Callaghan Law focusing on estate planning and probate for individuals, families, and same s*x couples. In Texas, she regularly presented courses to both attorneys and lay persons on various estate planning issues. She also assisted Texas school districts through amicus briefing for the Texas Association of School Boards and represented indigent criminal clients in state trial and appellate courts. Carole currently lives in the Evergreen area, where she is an active volunteer in her community. She is the Vice President of Ovation West Performing Arts, the Secretary of the Evergreen High School PTSA, the President of the EHS Choir Boosters, and the Graphics and Advertising Committee chair for SET, EHS’s theater booster program. After taking time to get to know her Colorado community, Carole is thrilled to be reopening Carole Callaghan Law.
