Ocean City's tourism economy is evolving as rising costs, changing travel habits, and shifting visitor preferences impact local businesses throughout the resort.
Thomas Maronick Jr. shared his perspective on how higher prices are affecting both visitors and the businesses that depend on tourism.
“Due to changing economic times, including higher costs passed on to customers in hotels, restaurants and bars, costs have gone up in general in Ocean City. The aftereffects have been that all businesses that rely on tourist dollars have been affected,” Maronick told The Baltimore Sun.
