Japanese Language Lessons

Did you know that learning a foreign language stimulates your brain, improves your attention span and builds multitasking skills? And of course, it increases career options. If you would like to speak one of the most difficult languages in the world - now is the time to start!
I provide language instruction for all different levels - from beginner to advanced. In the past, I was teaching conversational Japanese as well as tutoring college students in preparation for their tests and exams.
Lessons take place in Gig Harbor near the Civic Center on Pioneer Way or in Port Orchard near Fred Meyer. I just started 2 beginner groups at the middle school and high school (Japanese I) levels and have 3 more spots available in each one!
If you (or your child) can read hiragana and build basic sentences, I have 2 groups on a slightly more advanced level (one for upper elementary students and one for middle school students). I also offer private and semi-private lessons.

- Master’s degree in Japanese language;
- 20 years of experience tutoring Japanese
- 20 years of experience interpreting/translating; for the past couple of years I was specializing in legal interpreting (court, police station, arrest, jail, meetings with lawyers, etc.) and biotechnology (biology, cellular biology, microbiology).
