The firm of Bond and McDonald will be closing for business at the end of January 2025 after providing legal representation in Geneva and the surrounding area for almost seven decades.

Attorney William J. McDonald Sr. got his start practicing law in Geneva, NY with his uncle James M. Ryan, Esq. Upon Mr. Ryan's passing in 1957 William formed the law firm of Bond and McDonald in partnership with Albert E. Bond, Esq. In the years that followed, three of William Sr.'s six sons became attorneys and joined the firm: William Jr. (1978), Kevin (1981) and Mark (1985).

Over the last 67 years the firm has been honored to serve the local and surrounding communities by providing the highest level of legal representation involving all aspects of the law. More recently the firm's practice focused on Workers' Compensation and Social Security disability law.

The attorneys at Bond and McDonald represented their clients in a professional, zealous and ethical manner leading to a successful result for many of them. This was due in no small part to the assistance of our hardworking attorneys, paralegals and administrative assistants with whom we have had the pleasure of working through the years.

So it is with some sadness that the remaining attorneys, William Jr. and Mark, and dedicated staff, Deborah Cirencione and Sarah DuVall, announce that it is time to retire. We wish all of our clients, past and present, all the best going forward. It has truly been a pleasure to assist you.
