Marissa is also admitted to the Illinois Bar Association and the Northern District of Illinois. Hanson was a Supreme Court Rule 711 Clerk, and worked with the Northern Illinois Zeke Giorgi Legal Clinic, where Marissa defended indigent clients in criminal misdemeanor matters. Marissa also served as an extern clerk for Cook County family law judge, Hon. During law school, Marissa R. Hanson was an active member of the Latino Law Student Association and served a one-year term as its Vice-President. Marissa also competed in the first ever National Latino Law Student Association Moot Court, where Marissa and her partner were awarded second place. Marissa also participated in the yearly Moot Court competition and was inducted into the Moot Court Competition & Society. Marissa is also a bilingual and bicultural attorney. She was raised in Queretaro, Mexico and in the United States; hence, she is fluent in English and Spanish.
