ASCENSION PARISH- DOTD announces that LA 928 (Bluff Road) in Ascension Parish will reopen to traffic tonight, April 17, by 8 p.m., approximately three weeks ahead of schedule.
Completing the project ahead of schedule reflects DOTD’s commitment to improving infrastructure through a more efficient and transparent approach under its T4LA initiative.

The 31st Annual Krewe of Diversion Mardi Gras Boat Parade will “roll” through Maurepas this Saturday, February 7, at noon.

The parade will begin at Canal Bank and end at Manny’s, led by Grand Marshal Troy Landry, with proceeds benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

⚠️ Important Safety Notice – Low Water Levels ⚠️
Due to low water levels across Ascension Parish, cautionary signage will be placed at all parish boat launches beginning Saturday morning.

• Boat launches will remain open
• Launching and trailering boats will be at the boat owner’s own risk
• This notice serves as a precaution and safety warning

We encourage everyone to use extra caution on the water and enjoy the festivities safely.
