Attorney Rob D’Angelillo once again volunteered his time to assist local veterans in Nassau County. This past Sunday, Rob provided services at a free virtual Veteran Legal Clinic offered by Hofstra Law School. The Veterans Legal Assistance Project at Hofstra Law School (VLAP) is a program that focuses on assisting veterans to initiate VA claims and improve their overall access to free civil legal services. This program is held twice a year and is well attended. While the event is usually in person, due to the pandemic and safety guidelines, the clinic was conducted for the second time via video conferencing. Attorneys Rob D’Angelillo and Julianne Bonomo presented to the local parishioners at St. Mary’s in Manhasset yesterday morning. The seminar was offered free to the community to educate them on planning for many of life’s events. Julianne, a lawyer on our Real Estate team, and a former student of St. Mary’s, organized the opportunity for Rob to provide information to families needing wills, estate planning and asset protection. In addition to the presentation being well attended, it was well received and the church plans to schedule more seminars for us to be involved with in the near future.
