New Jersey Statewide Independent Living Council is holding a Public Forum on Monday, August 31st at 12pm at the Hamilton Hilton Garden Inn.

✔Learn about NJ SILC and Centers for Independent Living.
✔Hear about their current systems advocacy activities.
✔Discuss Independent Living issues affecting people with disabilities.
✔Suggest concerns for SILC to address in NJ’s 2027 IL State Plan.

📍This event is in-person at Hilton Garden Inn, 800 Rt. 130 South in Hamilton, Mercer County.

Long-term family caregiving can affect far more than a person's schedule; it can take a toll on the caregiver's health over time. Years of interrupted sleep, chronic stress, emotional strain, financial pressure, and constant responsibility can leave very little opportunity to recover. Many caregivers become so focused on keeping someone else well that their own needs gradually move to the bottom of the list. Caregivers are human beings with bodies and minds carrying extraordinary responsibility, and they need care,
too.
