COURT FINDS DEFENDANT NOT GUILTY OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE - GRANTS RULE 29 MOTION FOR ACQUITTAL

Bench trial was held October 30, 2024 in Gallipolis Municipal Court wherein Defendant was charged with 1 count of Domestic Violence.

At close of the trial, defense counsel moved for a Rule 29 Acquittal arguing that the State failed to prove the essential elements of the crime charged.

The Court took the matter under advisement and issued a ruling the next day granting the motion and finding the Defendant NOT GUILTY.

Defendant was represented at trial by Britt Wiseman, Attorney at Law.

Today marked the end of an era with this lady at the helm in my office. Sue has been with me for 7 1/2 years as secretary in my criminal defense practice. She helped me open my office in January 2017 and she has been the backbone of my office every day since. She deserves this retirement alongside her husband Brian. I thank Sue from the bottom of my heart for all she has done for me and my practice. Go enjoy life and live it to the fullest. HAPPY RETIREMENT!!!
