Please be aware of another scam going around where someone contacts you and reports that you have a federal warrant out for your arrest and then sends you a fake warrant like this one that my sister-in-law recently received below.

Please DO NOT give out any personal information and DO NOT send any money to these people. Contact your local law enforcement and make a report providing as much information as possible. Law enforcement and our government representatives need to know how many people these scams are affecting so maybe we can get some legislative help to address these scam phone calls and text messages.

This is most of my amazing team. (Plus our coffee expert friends from ). Without them......Sweet Jayne's does not exist! Tomorrow (Friday) at 6 am we are opening our doors and greeting you all with open arms! I know we have some growing and learning to do as we are using new equipment, have new staff, and new items. Remember that the drive through IS NOT open yet, we will do that when we are ready. Please say some prayers for a smooth day for my staff and I and and we thank you for your patience ahead of time! I won't lie, I'm super nervous!!

The new 9-8-8 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline launches today. Created by a bipartisan law signed by President Trump in 2020, individuals experiencing a mental health crisis can reach out for help by simply calling or texting the numbers 9-8-8. The Lifeline connects people who are suicidal or in any other mental health crisis to a trained mental health professional without being put on hold or encountering a busy signal. This is a significant step in the broader effort to provide mental health support and resources to those in need.

Beware of phone scams! There have been different phone scams circulating for some time now. They generally target older individuals so please share this information with your loved ones especially your older loved ones. One such scam is a phone call purporting to be the IRS requesting you to send money. Another scam is a phone call reporting you have a loved one that has been arrested with a request for you to send bond money. Another scam is a phone call stating you missed jury duty, a warrant has been issued for your arrest and if you do not send money via a money order you will be arrested. If you or a loved one receives such a phone call please tell the caller that you will contact your attorney and request they provide you with a call back phone number and their name (this will likely end the phone call). If you have caller ID write the number down and report the call to your local law enforcement office or feel free to Email or call my office if you are not sure what to do. Know that the IRS and the courts will not call you they will send you a letter. DO NOT SEND money in response to a phone call without verifying the legitimacy through an attorney and/or law enforcement.
