We were honored to have our very own Clint Teston, President of the Gainesville-Northeastern Bar Association, preside over this year’s annual Gainesville-Northeastern Bar Association Law Day luncheon at the Gainesville Civic Center.

Law Day is a meaningful event celebrating the rule of law, civic responsibility, and the impact of the legal profession in our community. Clint had the privilege of recognizing outstanding individuals and presenting awards to those who have demonstrated excellence and service in the local legal community.

The Honorable Judge Bonnie C. Oliver was this year’s Judge A.R. Kenyon Award recipient. This award is presented to a member of the Bar whose career exemplifies the values of Professionalism, Integrity, Excellence, and Dedication to the Public Good. We congratulate Judge Oliver for her lifetime achievement of promoting and ensuring justice over her 40-year career.

Susan Stanley was the recipient of this year’s Liberty Bell Award. The Liberty Bell Award is presented to a nonlawyer who renders noteworthy service to the legal community. It recognizes individuals who promote a better understanding of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and encourage respect for the law and courts. We want to thank Mrs. Stanley for her years of dedication and service.
