I don’t often post , and when I do it often seems about something unfortunate. This post lives up to that statement. Jack Balderson, Jr. was a friend, a good attorney, and a wonderful person. Fun to be around, full of wit and wisdom, and always ready to help and serve, Jack was in the middle of his year serving as President of the Denton County Bar Association.
I met Jack through the Denton Bar about 14 years ago when he decided to hang out his own shingle after working the tall-building scene long enough. I was was working my way up the Denton Bar ladder then (and President 2013-14). Jack was never anything but kind and helpful. He was always a joy to be around!
Jack died suddenly this past weekend—way too young, with a smart daughter and dedicated wife left with a huge hole in their lives. He will be missed, for sure! He left the local legal community a better place than he found it—thank you, Jack!
