A story I have not told in a while is why I applied to law school in college. The first thing I had ever wanted to be was a judge but once I realized that I would need a doctorate I was intimidated. When I was in college around 2000 at the University of Nebraska at Kearney the campus security officers bacame real police officers who could write tickets and arrest. Around midnight one night I was driving from on campus to off campus when I was followed closely by a campus security/police officer. I drove under the speed limit and came to a stop sign. Then I somewhat quickly got up to 25mph and took several turns knowing that they would have to make a complete stop at the stop sign and would not be able to follow me. I was pulled over and once it was determining that I had not been drinking he gave me a ticket for careless driving. I almost went nuts on him and said I would see him in court.
I took the ticket to trial. I was called to the witness stand first by the prosecution who bluffed at me that I had drove carelessly by lifting up a VHS tape and asking me if I known it was all on video. I responded with I had no witness and it would verify that I did nothing wrong. Then the girl said unfortunately the camera did not start until the officer activated his overhead lights.
Officer gets on the stand and testifies that from the stop sign I peeled out spinning my tires and fishtailing my car. It hit me that I knew he was lying and I knew I could prove it. I asked him since he was behind me he could only see my back tires. He said yes. I asked him if he was sure I fishtailed my car. Yes. I asked him if he knew that was impossible since I had a front wheel drive car? Uppercut to the gut. His head turned red. The Judge stopped the trial and warned the officer about what he had done. I floated out of the courtroom and applied to law school soon after.

Reminder to anyone that has surcharges in Texas that the program ends 9/1/19. If your license is invalid for nonpayment you will just need to pay the reinstatement fee after 9/1/19 to have a valid license.
