The pay for this job is $26.56 - $31.13 per hour depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
● Calendar direction and planning: manage attorney’s work calendar including scheduling attorney appointments with potential new clients, existing clients, court appearances, case appearances, & litigation deadlines using electronic case management software with a hard copy paper backup.
● Prepare pro-forma documents such as complaints, deposition notices, demands for expert witnesses and other pleadings using Microsoft Word
● Responsible for providing “signature-ready” letters and quality control of all transcribed letters, pleadings, and other correspondence going out from the firm.
● Receive and process all incoming correspondence for the firm including emails, and file all incoming documents in the appropriate online client case files and paper files.
● Attend professional association meetings and participate in industry associations.
Requirements
● Previous experience in California state court civil litigation, preferably supporting attorney in plaintiff’s personal injury cases.
● Adaptable to fast-paced litigation and the ability not take a step back and not panic.
● Enthusiastic in delivering life-enhancing service to clients who are injured and dealing with high levels of distress as a result of their injuries.
● Attention to detail, particularly grammar, spelling, punctuation, and case details when working with documents.
● Pride in ownership of a job well done which fosters the desire to do the job because you want to be there.
● Extremely effective communication skills (both written and oral).
● Embracing new technology, including Microsoft Office 365 with high use of MS Word, Outlook and Excel, Neos case management software, Law Tool Box calendaring software, Essential Forms software
