Individuals are exempt from wearing face coverings while communicating with a person who is hearing impaired, where the ability to see the mouth is essential for communication.

Social distancing and plastic barriers have been provided along with regular office sanitation. Anyone who wishes to wear a mask over the face will be provided with an accessible, deaf-friendly face mask.

Murphy Law Firm has always believed that our clients are our family. We know these past few months have been terribly difficult, filled with fear, loss, and ambiguity. Right now, however, what is not ambiguous is that our family is hurting.

As difficult as the past few months have been, the past week and a half has been particularly heavy. We are feeling the weight and sadness for ourselves and for people we love—we are heartbroken and frustrated.

Today, the IRS announced that taxpayers have until 12:00 noon EST/9:00 AM PST on Wednesday, May 13th to provide the IRS with their direct deposit information for Economic Impact Payments. If you do not provide your direct deposit information to the IRS, you will be issued a paper check later this month. To submit your direct deposit information, use the IRS' Get My Payment tool .

Use Get My Payment to get information about your payment status and payment type.

NEW EDD INFORMATION 4/25/20:

If your claim is for dates from March 13-May 9, EDD will pay benefits WITHOUT first certifying.

You will be required to report work during this period through Ask EDD.

While there is no information on when these payments will be sent out, this is a step in the right direction.
