🚨 Exciting Announcement! 🚨

We are thrilled to welcome Lauryn Flores to the Miles, Sears & Eanni team as our newest Associate Attorney! 🎉

Lauryn is a 2025 graduate of California Western School of Law, where she earned her law degree. Her journey in the legal world began long before that, though — Lauryn also holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Fresno State, bringing a unique blend of skills and perspective to the firm.

Lauryn’s passion for law began while she was still in college, and she joined us as a Law Clerk in April 2023. Over the last two years, Lauryn worked closely with our team, gaining invaluable experience and insight into the legal field. She also served as a Courier during her college years, demonstrating her dedication, strong work ethic, and commitment to our firm’s success.

Lauryn Flores is a proud Central Valley native from Madera Ranchos who has always had a passion for serving her community. She is a two-time Fresno State alumna, earning both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication. While earning her master’s degree, she taught public speaking to undergraduate students at Fresno State. She later earned her law degree from California Western School of Law in San Diego. Now back in the Central Valley and awaiting bar exam results, Lauryn has joined the law firm Miles, Sears & Eanni, which specializes in plaintiffs’ personal injury cases.

Lauryn has years of experience serving her community, including volunteering with Central California Legal Services, the San Diego Community Law Project, serving two years on the board of directors for PINC Fresno as Director of Philanthropy and Event Coordinator, and dedicating time to supporting various other Central Valley nonprofits. She is passionate about helping people find confidence in their own voice and developing the skills to advocate for themselves and others. She is deeply grateful for the people and community that shaped her and is honored to continue giving back through her continued service to the Central Valley.

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we inform you of the death of one of our founding partners, Carmen Eanni, who passed away on September 14, 2024.

He was born in Dover, NJ, on July 16, 1934, as the sixth of seven children born to Italian immigrants, Serafino and Josephina Eanni. At age 12, Carmen and his family traveled from New Jersey to California joining other family members in the Hanford area to live and work in the ideal climate of The Golden State.

He graduated from Hanford High in 1952 and was recruited to play football for Fresno City College as a fullback. Another highlight at FCC was meeting the love of his life, Rose Marie. They had a 3-year engagement and married in Fresno on June 29, 1957 after he served in the 82nd Airborne Division and 77th Special Forces Group as a Green Beret during the Korean War.

Mr. Eanni attended San Francisco State earning a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, and UC Hastings College of Law earning his Juris Doctorate in 1963. After law school, the couple returned to Fresno and he worked as a Deputy District Attorney for 18 months before entering private practice in 1966. Two years later, he became a shareholder in the Fresno Law Firm of Miles, Sears & Eanni, APC.

For 54 years, Mr. Eanni was a dedicated trial lawyer in the fields of general personal injury, product liability, and professional negligence. He was a member of the California State Bar, the Disciplinary Review Department of the State Bar Court (1979-1984), the Fresno County Bar Association, the California Trial Lawyers Association (President, Fresno Chapter, 1969-1971, Chairman, Recognition of Experience Committee, 1979-1980), and the American Bar Association.

Mr. Eanni was one of the founding members of Big Brothers Big Sisters and an avid coach of youth football.

Mr. Eanni is survived by his devoted wife, Rose Marie, of 67 years, daughter Nikki Helmer and her husband Jay, son John Eanni and his wife Kellie, grandsons Jonathan and Dylan Eanni, sister Anna Batti, in-laws, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul Catholic Newman Center on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
