Many times criminal defense can be a thankless job. It involves dealing with the biggest problem in someone’s life. A thank you card or a bottle of scotch is pretty much a joyful rare occasion. But getting two thank you cards in a single day, it feels amazing. It’s the small things in life that make it great. Love my clients.

I will be attending the Serious Science Blood Testing training in Dallas, Texas early next month. I continue my training and expertise to be the best I can at my profession. Defending DUI, Drug related criminal accusations, domestic violence, and other criminal allegation requires me to stay on top of the education.

All punishments are not equal, even if the sentence is. If a person with little ambition, education, or professional aspirations receives a sentence it can usually be taken at face value. However, in cases like this one in Fresno, the person sentenced is a licensed professional, business owner, and high profile member of society. The repercussions include the professional licensing which a tremendous amount of very specific education was necessary to achieve. Furthers, being high profile, the s*x registration aspect will follow him into society, his residence, family, and future employment.

Even though Arthur Hernandez only received a year in custody, his attorney told the court he will always be 'ostracized' by the community.

In my continued pursuit of learning more to help my clients, I will be traveling to Nashville to attend the DUI Defense Lawyers Association meeting in April. There really is a lot of time, effort, and education that is involved in defending criminal cases and DUI's. I have traveled to many states, completed many of the most advanced seminars and training, and spend 10's of thousands of dollars to obtaining the best education, training, and experience possible to help my clients. This pursuit of knowledge never ends, and I will never stop learning how to better help my clients.

DUI Defense is a large portion of my law practice. I am both an attorney and an expert witness. I have noticed some really good results recently at the DMV for both my DUI clients and also as an expert.
