Proud to support a great cause right here in our community!
On May 18, firm partners, Brian J. Chabarek and Douglas J. Widman, participated in the Freehold Alliance’s Ray Kershaw Memorial Golf Outing, held at Battleground Country Club. Organized each year by the Freehold Alliance, the outing helps fund local programs focused on substance abuse prevention and community wellness.
It was a great opportunity to connect with fellow community members and organizations who share a commitment to making a meaningful impact. We appreciate the Freehold Alliance’s continued dedication to education, prevention, and support initiatives that strengthen our community. We’re honored to support efforts that make a difference close to home.

Last week, we had the privilege of visiting the Mental Health Association of Monmouth County to connect with families and caregivers navigating complex planning concerns.
Christina Hardman O'Neal, Esq. led an informative and compassionate discussion focused on estate planning, estate administration, and Special Needs Trusts, sharing practical guidance to help families plan for the long-term care and financial security of loved ones with mental health diagnoses.
The session also provided valuable time for questions and open dialogue, allowing attendees to address real-life issues they’re facing today, and to better prepare for the future.
We are grateful to the Mental Health Association of Monmouth County for the opportunity to engage with their community and for the important work they do supporting individuals and families throughout Monmouth County. These conversations matter, and we’re honored to be a trusted resource.

Thank you to Greenbriar Woodlands for welcoming our firm for a recent presentation on Elder Law and estate planning, led by Christopher D. Olszak, Esq., certified as an Elder Law Attorney by the ABA Approved National Elder Law Foundation.

Following the seminar, we wanted to share a few of the most frequently asked questions that came up during the discussion:
✔️ When should I update my will or estate plan?
Major life changes - retirement, loss of a spouse, health changes, or new grandchildren - are key times to review your plan.
✔️ What’s the difference between Elder Law and general estate planning?
Elder law focuses on long-term care planning, asset protection, Medicaid planning, and legal issues unique to aging, in addition to wills and trusts.
✔️ Can I protect my assets if I need long-term care?
With proper planning, there are legal strategies that may help preserve assets while preparing for future care needs.
✔️ Why is proactive planning so important?
Planning ahead provides clarity, control, and peace of mind for you and your loved ones.

If you’d like to learn more, Christopher and our Tax & Estate Planning attorneys are available to provide guidance and answer questions based on your unique circumstances.

This Sunday, our team had the pleasure of attending Highlands Business Partnership’s 14th Annual Chili Cook-Off at the iconic Chubby Pickle in Highlands, NJ. The event brought the community together with great food, live entertainment, and lots of energy!
Our attorneys, Brian Chabarek, Andrew Ball, and Zachary Styczynski, were proud to support an event that not only warms you up in winter but also gives back. This year’s cook-off featured chili tasting and performances by pipe bands and Irish dancers, with all proceeds benefiting the upcoming 2026 Highlands St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
A huge thank you to the Highlands Business Partnership, Highlands NJ for organizing such a vibrant community event and for their continued dedication to local businesses, culture, and charitable causes. We’re grateful to be part of a community that shows up, celebrates together, and supports great local traditions.
