On May 4, 2020, in the throws of the Covid-19 crisis, the SEC adopted temporary rules to ease some restrictions on Title III Crowdfunding. These temporary rules apply to offerings launched between May 4, 2020 until August 31, 2020. The temporary rules provide:

-Companies raising up to $250,000 need only self-certify financials as opposed to lengthy and often expensive CPA review.

-The 21 day waiting period for commitments is temporarily removed and;

-Offerings can close sooner than the offering deadline date, provided the target offering minimum amount has been reached.

Hello. I’d like to share with you a new project that I have joined to advise local entrepreneurs looking to grow their businesses and manage tough business challenges. I am an Advisor on the Business Power Panel presented by Think.Create.Collaborate., which is a new Nashville-based entrepreneurial community developed by my friends at BluePrint Strategy. The Business Power Panel will launch later this summer as 90-minute intensive and interactive work sessions with 3 or 4 Advisors working directly with one entrepreneur to dig into the details of their business model and financial health of their operations.

Due to the COVID crisis and its significant economic impact, we have decided to offer a modified “Virtual” Business Power Panel over Zoom at a discounted rate to business owners who need timely guidance to navigate our current economic climate and challenges. The Zoom sessions (length of 45 minutes) will take place on Friday, May 8th with both morning and afternoon sessions available. Cost of a Virtual Business Power Panel session is $99. More information and registration can be found at www.thinkcreatecollaborate.com. Registration will require submission of a business plan and related documents so that the Advisors will be prepared and ready to hit the ground running during the sessions.

If you or someone you know would be interested in receiving customized business advising through the Virtual Business Power Panel on May 8th (or our in-person Business Power Panel sessions later this year), register now and let me know if you have any questions. Think.Create.Collaborate. will be rolling out several services and resources to support entrepreneurs and small businesses, and I am proud to partner with them to keep our business community thriving.

“Tennessee broke into the top ten in Forbes’ Best States for Business ranking for the first time thanks to a low cost of doing business and a pro-business regulatory climate, as well as a top Aaa rating from Moody’s on its general obligation debt. The state’s fiscal health rates among the best of all states, according to the Mercatus Center. Major industries include agriculture, manufacturing and tourism.”
