I’m starting a new chapter tonight. I’ll be joining my former law clerk coworker/law school classmate, Emily Harvey, to teach the legal writing portion of the 4th year bar review class at the Nashville School of Law. I am so grateful for this opportunity to go back and teach at my law school. With B headed off to college in a few weeks, the timing of this could not have been better. I hope to teach my students how to strengthen their writing skills, and maybe insert some pop culture and comic relief from time to time.

Family law is difficult in part because you are helping clients navigate through what is inevitably one of the most difficult times in their lives. From time to time you have special clients that you connect with, and who are truly appreciative of your efforts. Yesterday, one such dear client dropped off these flowers for me and my staff to celebrate her one year divorce-aversary!

Excited to be named again to this year's Rising Stars list by Mid-South Superlawyers for the area of family law.
