If you've ever been to our office, you've no doubt met our lovely, kind, legal assistant/front desk/office manager, Denise Cole. Denise celebrated her 20th year with Hartzog & Silva last week! We are so thankful for Denise and her dedication to the firm. She keeps the ship afloat, she is a work mom to all of us, and she is the empathetic first person clients and potential clients come in contact with when they first reach out to our firm.

In a time where loyalty to an employer seems to be a thing of the past, 20 years is an impressive feat to have reached. Please join us in congratulating Denise on her Twenty Year work anniversary!

Volunteering for the district's annual mock trial competition is something attorney Amanda Bradley looks forward to every year. It takes an incredible amount of volunteers to pull this off, but it's a great way to get to know fellow bar members better, and get pro bono hours, all while supporting our very talented local high school students. We had 10 teams compete this year, and the top team moves on to the state competition.

The law firm of Hartzog & Silva, PLLC will remain closed on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Williamson County courts remain closed today as well. Those of us who have power are working from home as we are able, and will be checking emails, but responses may be delayed. Today is the Godfather's birthday, the one and only: Ed Silva! We had a joint birthday and holiday celebration today with our firm and the ladies of Heritage Title.

And in lieu of exchanging white elephant gifts, we continued our trend of making a collective donation to a local nonprofit instead. This year, Heritage Title and Hartzog & Silva members collected most-needed grocery items and donated them to The Well in Spring Hill, and were honored to be able to deliver those items to The Well today after our birthday/holiday luncheon.

Congratulations to Hartzog & Silva attorneys Ed Silva and Amanda L. Bradley, for being named to Mid-South Super Lawyers for 2025!

Ed was named to the Top 100 Lawyers in Tennessee, the Top 50 2025 Nashville Super Lawyers List, as well as being named to the Super Lawyers list for family law. Amanda was honored to be named once again to the Rising Stars list for the practice area of family law.

The Super Lawyers list recognizes attorneys from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement, no more than 5% of attorneys in each state. The Rising Stars list recognizes no more than 2.5% of attorneys in each state.
